Terms of Service
Last updated: May 15, 2026. These terms cover access to Avela's nutrition coaching app, public tools, subscriptions, and checkout flows.
Wellness guidance, not medical advice
Avela provides behavior-support and nutrition-planning guidance. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. Meal, calorie, macro, restaurant, and fridge estimates are planning aids and may be imprecise because portions, preparation, labels, and visible ingredients vary.
Accounts and eligibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. Use clinician-provided nutrition guidance first if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from an eating disorder, or have been given a prescribed nutrition plan.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Avela's iOS subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Prices, trials, renewal periods, and cancellation terms are shown before purchase. Unless cancelled in App Store settings, subscriptions renew automatically. You can manage, cancel, or restore subscriptions from your Apple account settings.
Apple standard terms
For subscriptions purchased through Apple, Apple's standard End User License Agreement also applies: https://apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
Account deletion
You can delete your Avela account inside the app from Account > Delete account. Account deletion removes your Avela account and app data from active systems. Apple subscriptions are managed separately and must be cancelled from App Store subscription settings.
